Islands Souvenirs Infuses Sinulog Cut and Style Fashion Show 2020 with Ethnic Hype

Sinulog season is upon us and still nothing to wear, with all the clothes looking the same? No need to fret. Islands Souvenirs has something for you to step up your outfit game.

One of the country’s biggest clothing line celebrated its annual Cut and Style fashion show with a fusion of Philippine ethnic and homegrown personalities who have been recognized in their respective fields.

Popping on its eighth year, Islands Souvenirs took part in the grand Sinulog celebration as it showcased its newest selections of culturally-themed shirts and embellishments in its highly anticipated runway show held in the Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu last January 17, 2020.

This year’s theme “Ethnic Hype” served as tribute and celebration for the Filipino’s ethnic pride of arts and culture as the show highlighted some tribal dances inspired by known tribes of the country: Cordillera, Maranao, Adawan, Yakan, and Pintados.

The newest brand ambassadors were categorized and comprised of select Cebuanos and “Cebuanos at heart” individuals who have contributed and established enormous pride in the present industries, who also proudly strutted the runway while wearing vibrant and customized editions of Islands Souvenirs Sinulog outfits and accessories.

Street Sikat was composed of Cebuanos with humble lives with big stories inspiring millions across the world such as Netflix Streetfood Personalities Ian Sekong, Leslie Ejambre and Ruby Manayon, Tubig Queen of Cebu Jay “Dodoy” Tebrio, Viral kid Rebecca Lim and SEA Games Gold Medalist for Arnis Dexler Bolambao.

Online Boosters featured several esteemed Cebuano content creators and viral influencers including Alem Garcia, Ram Mancelita, Kathryn Mier, Clare Inso, Dodong Dave and Neil Savellon.

Dynamic families served as role models while creating an impact to young families in Cebu. Strutting the runway are proud parents and bubbly kids as seen on Orellano-Vercede Family, the show host Miss Earth 2008 Karla Henry-Ammann and her kids, KEVLO’s Geniston Family, Malinao-Tan family and Lofranco-Canete Family.

Cebuano Creatives and History Connoisseur highlighted the respectable art prowess of the likes of Accessory designer Neil Felipp San Pedro, Tattoo Artist Jello Talaboc and Actress Ligaya Rabago.

The runway was also graced by the presence of the recent Binibining Cebu 2020 winners along with their respective fashion designers. The Cebuano Creatives Connoisseur spotlight was concluded by the Binibining Cebu 2020 Beatrice Luigi Gomez.

Colors Hype showcased some pride of the LGBTQ+ community such as Fashion couple Hanz Coquilla and Ichael Serneo, Social Advocate Atty. Regal Oliva, Queen Philippines Universe 2011 Bee Urgello, Titay’s Liloan Rosquillos’ Margo Frasco, travel and food writer Jude Bacalso, Trans Advocate Chase Go Tolentino and transman YouTuber Van Go.
