2004 photograph of me covering the PAL Golf Interclub in Cagayan De Oro City.

My source of happiness. I enjoy capturing precious moments of family and friends since the time I got hold of a camera at 12 years old.

However, as time goes by photography was  not only about expressing my creativity but became my way of coping up  emotional issues.

It was through photography that diverted my attention of becoming productive instead of sulking in one corner and feeling low self-esteem.  It was thru photography that helped me gain confidence as it has given me opportunities to travel and meet a lot of prominent people especially during the Southeast Asian leaders in 2005 where I met the great leaders up close and personal.

As well as the country’s top businessmen such as the Sy family when they opened SM City in Batangas, superstars, the Ayala, the Aboitiz and more others. It was the best time of my life.

Photography not only gave me those experiences but also  an opportunity to teach. I was able to experience to become a photojournalism instructor for the University of the Visayas (UV) and it was a self-fulling experience but it was not the right time though because I was in Law School and I was just starting a family being pregnant of my first born. Maybe someday, i will return teaching.

It also gave me an avenue to earn extra income as I took photos for corporate events and for 10 years now, I have been the official photographer for Cebu Pacific Airlines every time they open new routes and also experienced travelling with them during familiarization tours.

I couldn’t forget how I took photographs for Sun Cellular events while I was already 7 months pregnant of my daughter, Trisha Zara. I did it because I was scheduled for a cesarean section  and we really don’t know what will happen then. I don’t want to be in so much debts and though my husband was working as a Seafarer, it was a way for me to help him also in our daily expenses.

Now, that everything is already stable. I just bought a new camera and almost had a complete equipment and events photography bookings became minimal.

Ironic,   years ago when I don’t have updated equipment  because my priority was the needs of my family. A lot wants my photography service which I recalled how I tried to rent equipment from friends as back up because I had a feeling my equipment will anytime soon surrender.

Honestly, I don’t have much time anymore like I used too. Before, I have all the time but minimal equipment. Now that I have it, limited time because as a mother and a wife, it’s already an innate of every mother that family first before anything else, it really just come naturally to us.

What I am busy now, are things that is just within my reach. Working in a BPO company near our subdivision here in Cordova, doing online stuff, every weekend photography sessions ( not the everyday photo shoot that i was used too), on and off sporting events organizing and more others.

Photography has indeed made a lot of difference in my life since I start shooting for a newspaper in 2000.

Thank you photography for those opportunities  and wishing for more years with you as we go deep into the digital world.
