CREATIVE GURUS CONVERGED AT THE SEE

SEVERAL kids and young artists trooped to the Sugbu Entertainment Expo (SEE) at the Robinsons Galleria last June 29 and 30, 2019.

The event was in line with the Cebu Business Month celebration of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce Inc. ( CCCI) spearheaded by Lilu Alino together with CCCI president Virgilio “Nonoy” Espeleta.

CCCI gave importance to the creative industry as they partnered with SEE which is composed of animators, comic book artists, and video game developers.

The two-day event gave the creative gurus an avenue to showcase their talents, educate and encourage potential artists to develop their skill as well as to enlighten every one of the wider potentials of the creative entertainment industry.

 The event is a collaboration of the Enigma Kai, a start-up comic book studio which is venturing into animation; Cebu Animation Guild, a collection of the best animators in Cebu; and Cebu Game Dev, a collection of start-up video game developers. In partnership with the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) as part of the Cebu Business Month (CBM) celebration.

This year, the Animation Council of the Philippines, Game Developers Association of the Philippines, and Komikon joined the event. Also invited are, Toon City, who has worked with Disney and Warner Brothers; Toei Philippines, who has helped in the animation of some of the biggest anime namely: Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, and One Piece; and Hugo Yonzon, who has worked on Darna.

Beginning her career as a Photojournalist at The Freeman Newspaper/Philippine Star from 2000 to 2007, she then served as an Accounts Manager from 2007 to 2008. Driven by a passion for sports, she transitioned to a Sportswriter role at CDN and expanded into news writing for Inquirer Visayas. From 2010 to 2015, she honed her skills as a Sportswriter at Sunstar Cebu, after which she took the initiative to launch her own website-Zoominglife.com
