French footwear brand Sledgers officially launched its Spring/Summer 2025 Collection during the grand reopening of its flagship store at Level 1, Ayala Center Cebu (near Metro Supermarket) on May 8, 2025.

Marking a new chapter for the heritage brand, the store’s unveiling was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Jimmy Thai, CEO and Co-founder of the Primer Group of Companies. Guests were welcomed into a completely redesigned space, inspired by the understated luxury of a European gentleman’s club. The new interiors feature rich textures, clean architectural lines, and a sophisticated color palette—a reflection of Sledgers’ enduring commitment to refined, modern style.

For nearly a century, Sledgers has honored founder John Sledgers’ vision: to craft footwear that perfectly balances elegance and comfort. This legacy continues with the debut of the Spring/Summer 2025 Collection, which was introduced through an exclusive walk-through led by Edward Roxas, Sledgers’ Regional Brand Manager. Roxas shared the inspiration behind this season’s designs, highlighting both the brand’s design evolution and the technical innovations that define each pair.

At the forefront of the collection is the updated Noel Penny Loafer, Sledgers’ iconic silhouette, now featuring a shortened vamp and pre-polished leather for an effortlessly sleek finish. Available in black, coffee, and a bold new wine colorway with a contrasting black rubber outsole, the updated Noel exemplifies the brand’s signature blend of timeless appeal and modern refinement.

Also debuting are two new lace-up styles—the Danilo and Pietro derbies. Made from premium full- and top-grain calf leather, these shoes are tailored for everyday sophistication, boasting sculpted vamps, curved piping, and durable, minimalist outsoles. Both models, like all Sledgers shoes, are fitted with Ortholite insoles, ensuring unmatched all-day comfort.

The rest of the collection continues to celebrate Sledgers’ reputation for classic European style, showcasing an array of horsebit loafers, moc-toe derbies, versatile penny loafers, and formal oxfords—each designed with the modern gentleman in mind.
