Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes Unveils New Argao Branch with Modern Viewing Chapels

Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes, a leading name in Philippine death care services, has officially opened its new branch in Barangay Langtad, Argao, further strengthening its commitment to bringing compassionate and professional funeral services closer to Southern Cebu communities.

This new facility replaces their previous branch in Argao, which had limited services. According to Renato “Oly” Dychangco, Jr., president of Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes, the new location features three fully equipped viewing chapels designed to offer a dignified alternative to traditional home wakes — a common practice in many towns across southern Cebu.

“This expansion is our way of supporting the Argao community by providing clean, secure, and professionally managed spaces for families in their time of grief,” said Dychangco during the opening ceremony, which was attended by Argao Mayor Allan Sesaldo, newly elected mayor of Alcoy is Eugene Singson and Sibonga interim mayor Mariano Laude, a councilor from Dalaguete, and other VIP guests.

The Argao branch marks Cosmopolitan’s ninth location in Cebu and its 11th in the Visayas, solidifying the company’s role as a trusted partner in end-of-life services across the region.

Dychangco, widely regarded as a pioneer and innovator in the Philippine funeral industry, emphasized that Cosmopolitan’s facilities are not just places for mourning — they are sanctuaries. “Cosmo is more than a funeral home. It’s a space created with care, dignity, and respect — designed to bring comfort during one of life’s most difficult transitions,” he said.

Equipped with thoughtfully designed chapels and a specialized embalming care center, the new Argao branch aims to offer a peaceful environment where families can gather, reflect, and celebrate the lives of their loved ones.

“We understand the pain of losing a loved one is immeasurable,” Dychangco added. “At Cosmopolitan, our mission is to help lighten that burden. We provide spaces for healing, solace, and community — places where families can come together, support one another, and begin their journey toward healing.”

Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes has served Filipino families for over 75 years, building a legacy of excellence and empathy. In Cebu alone, the company operates branches in Nivel Hills (Lahug), Junquera St., Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City, Danao, Bogo, Carcar, Cordova, and now Argao. In the Visayas, other locations include Guimaras and Delgado in Iloilo.

In Luzon, branches are located in Pasig (Evergreen), Quezon City (Tandang Sora and Araneta Avenue), and Baguio (Marcos Highway). In Mindanao, they serve communities in General Santos, Cagayan de Oro, Iligan, and several areas in Davao and Bukidnon.

With each new opening or renovation, Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes continues to uphold its mission: to deliver professional, heartfelt service and to be a beacon of comfort to every Filipino family in their time of loss.
